Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood from the University of Western Sydney, and has been at John Brotchie for the last 13 years.
Rebecca is passionate about Outdoor Education and has been instrumental in researching and setting up John Brotchie's Bush School Program.
This year Rebecca is focusing her professional development on preschool literacy and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in the preschool curriculum.
Jo holds a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood and a Masters of Early Childhood from Macquarie University.
Jo has been at John Brotchie since the middle of 2016 and before that was a lecturer in Early Childhood Education at Randwick TAFE Higher Education.
Jo values and is very interested in how young children learn about their world and how that transfers into their play.
Glenda holds a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood from the University of Western Sydney, and has been working at John Brotchie for the past 4 years.
Glenda is currently interested in how children gain their understanding and application of maths concepts and how she can extend and challenge mathematical learning in a play based curriculum.
Rachael holds a Certificate III - Children's Services and has worked at John Brotchie for over 15 years. Rachael is our resident pet expert and ensures our children help take care of our pets.
She has most recently been developing her skills to support the children in play so as to help them develop understanding and skills.
This year Rachael is enjoying learning Ausland to use with the children.
Vanessa is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood and Primary. She is combining studying and working to complete her degree.
One subject Vanessa is enjoying this semester is developing relationships with young children and the importance of secure relationships.
Joanne is our very experienced and super organised office manager. Joanne has worked at John Brotchie for over 20 years and is an efficient administrator who keeps the school running smoothly.
Over the last 12 months Joanne has been learning a new school administration and money management system that is being rolled out by the Department of Education. Joanne is also passionate about our library.
She purchases all our new books, covers them and helps the children to borrow their books each week.
Leesa holds a Certificate III in Children's Services and Educational Support and Certificate lll in Horticultural Practices. Leesa has worked at John Brotchie for the past 12 years and has rebuilt our playground to be the beautiful natural outdoor learning space that it is today.
Annette holds a Bachelor of Education - Secondary - Major Art. Annette has been working at John Brotchie supporting our Art Program for the last 7 years. Annette works with the children in our indoor and outdoor art studios on Monday and Thursday.
Liz is currently working towards Diploma of Early Childhood. Liz has been raising her 3 children over the last 10 years and since returning to the workforce she has chosen a career in Early Childhood.
This year Liz is our Bush School Coordinator.
She is looking forward to all the adventures she will have with the children outdoors.
